STRAPOEM / QUALITY PLANNING

Watch band quality.
Defined before production.

A useful quality discussion begins with specific acceptance points—not a generic promise. Use these checkpoints to agree the review scope for your order.

01

Dimensions & compatibility

Identify the watch model, connector or end-link interface, band width, length and adjustment range. Establish which dimensions need checking against the agreed drawing or sample.

02

Surface & visual consistency

Agree the reference for color and finish, plus the visible surfaces to inspect for marks, burrs and inconsistent treatment. Review logo position and legibility against the approved artwork.

03

Clasp & assembly function

Include opening, closing, retention and adjustment in the functional review. Specify any load, cycle or other testing requirements separately; do not assume that a named test or certification is included.

04

Packing & acceptance criteria

Confirm quantities, labels and packing requirements. Ask for the inspection scope and any reporting requirements in the quotation. Standards, sampling levels and third-party testing need explicit agreement for the project.

Turn a product reference into an inspection checklist

For a traditional bracelet, define the lug interface, end-link geometry and clasp connection rather than checking overall appearance alone. For an Apple Watch band, specify the exact device and connector version. Compare the agreed dimensions to the approved sample or drawing and document which features are critical to fit.

For brushed and polished surfaces, agree which areas use each finish and which visible marks are unacceptable. Two-tone colors need a reference for both areas. Logo checks should cover position, orientation and readability, not only whether a logo is present.

Include clasp opening, closing and retention, link adjustment and component assembly in the functional review. Any cycle count, force threshold, corrosion test or third-party inspection must be specified and agreed separately. A workshop photo or material name does not establish a test result.

Before dispatch, define the quantity check, variant labels and individual protection needed for the order. Agree how inspection findings and any corrective action will be recorded. These are planning checkpoints; the final inspection method and acceptance criteria belong in the confirmed order.

Questions before you order

Are certifications or test reports included automatically?

No certification or laboratory result is implied by the catalog. Tell us what documentation or testing your market requires so availability and scope can be confirmed.

Which sample should inspection use?

Use the approved sample and latest agreed specification together. Record any differences explicitly rather than relying on an earlier reference photo.

PRACTICAL BUYING GUIDANCE

BUYER'S ACCEPTANCE CHECKLIST

What should a watch band inspection record?

Use the following checklist to prepare your project specification. It is a planning guide, not a claim that every order includes laboratory testing or a particular inspection standard. Agree on the sample size, method and acceptance limits before production.

1. Identify the exact version being checked

Record the model or drawing number, revision date, material specification, finish, connector, clasp and packaging variant. Keep photographs of the approved sample alongside the specification. A finish sample does not, by itself, approve dimensions or device compatibility.

2. Separate measurements from visual judgements

3. Decide how differences will be resolved

For a discrepancy, identify the affected variant and quantity, attach clear evidence and compare it with the approved requirement. Agree whether correction, replacement, further testing or a documented concession is appropriate. Recheck corrected items before closing the issue; an unrecorded change should not become the new reference for a repeat order.

What if a buyer requires a test report?

Send the named standard and version, intended market, material or coating concerned, test scope and required report issuer with your inquiry. Availability, cost responsibility and timing must be confirmed separately. Do not assume that a material name, product photograph or sample approval proves compliance with a particular test standard.
